Morning from Minnesota! Here with the most perfect baby ever. Enjoying true midwestern foliage and friends. It’s a total delight.
In these bizarre times, it does feel like the strength of good friendships really keeps ya going. Hope you’re spending time with people that matter to you and taking it day by day.
Anyway, let’s get into the recs for the week:
1/ On the pleasure of reading in the evening, among other things. A peak into Machiavelli’s life.
I nourish myself on that food that alone is mine and for which I was born, where I am unashamed to converse with them and to question them about the motives for their actions, and they, in their humanity, answer me. And for four hours at a time I feel no boredom, I forget all my troubles, I do not dread poverty, and I am not terrified by death. I absorb myself into them completely.
2/ A framework for letting it go.
3/ My body, your choice. Ugh.
Bonus/ Receive a poem a week, here.
Thanks as always for reading and sharing. See you premos this weekend. Have a great Thursday.
