Good morning friends. I fell asleep at 8:45pm last night.
After all the travel, getting a booster and flu shot, and working two shoots this week, it just had to be done. I feel incredible. There really is nothing better than a full, restful night of sleep.
Let’s jump into this week’s recs:
1/ Two important pieces on the war in Israel. The first from the WSJ. The second on how there’s no way to say anything right. Unimaginable horror.
2/ I loved the last segment of this episode on how the Southern accent is evolving over generations. Here’s the full article. Accents are wild.
3/ On character driven stories that maybe lack in the action forward plot we’re typically taught. “No plot just vibes.”
“For me, plot is just an accumulation of moments, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be so rigid in structure or formulaic. That doesn’t reflect how people live their lives.”
BONUS: Two articles on cold and flu season. These two pieces feel like important reads to give you the knowledge you need to deal with your congestion. One & Two. Achoo.
That’s all for this week. Thanks as always for reading and sharing this newsletter with anyone you think may be interested!
We’re coming up on 3.5 years of this bb going strong and I’m not sure I’d be doing it without you readers consuming it. So thank you as always and see you this weekend if you’re premium, otherwise on Thursday!
