Good morning friends. January is nearing its end and it’s starting to really feel like winter here in NYC - bleak in more ways than one. But, last night I had the extreme pleasure of masking up and seeing a friend perform in his normally annual cabaret and it was such a joy. It’s nice to find ways to still be together during this extremely challenging time.
On to this weeks recommendations:
1/ This was an interesting read on rejections. The antidote, as in most things, is connection. It can help to read others stories and feel less alone and also motivated to keep at it.
2/ I very much enjoyed this podcast where various millennial writers reflect on despair and loss of hope. Obviously not a cheery podcast, but interesting to hear what people are feeling and living through during this specific moment in time. Major plus is that it’s produced and narrated by Ngofeen Mputubwele of Duolingo fame and his voice is just so wonderful.
3/ I’ve shared Never Too Small videos here before, but I especially liked this one because of the table the architect created. Great idea and excellent execution.
Thanks, as always, for reading and feel free to share with anyone you think may find this newsletter interesting. Have a great Thursday!
