Last post of the year!
I’m feeling excited about 2023. I’m feeling grateful to get to do this weekly thing. I’m feeling thankful for anyone who reads it and shares it. And I’m comforted in the continuation of this project in the new year. On to the recs:
1/ This recap video is overwhelming and worth a watch. I think I posted last year’s, too. It’s crazy to condense so much from a year, but I think it’s a well-done reminder of how much really did happen.
2/ If you’ve ever wondered how clouds impact climate change, this was an interesting, if not horrifying, read. As the article says, “The result is good news for science — but not good news for humanity.”
We concluded that as the ocean warms, the low-level clouds over the oceans tend to dissipate,” said Myers, one of the authors of the study. That means that there are fewer clouds to reflect sunlight and cool the earth — and the change in low-level clouds will also amplify global warming.
3/ For the New Yorkers or NYC transit-enthusiasts. Try your luck at this quiz. I did…poorly.
That’s it for this week. I’ll be back next week before heading off to Patagonia for a hiking trip with Susannah and a few friends. Till next year.
