Good morning reader friends. Hope everyone is doing well. It’s basically summer in NYC which is lovely until you realize it’s terrifying. Anyway, things are going well either way. 🤷🏻♀️
Should we jump into this week’s recommendations? Ok!
1/ This was a fun profile on Patricia Highsmith and her journaling. What a remarkably talented basket case. Shame she was such a repulsive anti-semite.
“What a genius I should be with leisure!”
Amen.
I’ll never get over the fact that she would carry snails in her purse when going to parties in NYC. A truly bizarre human.
2/ I’m very excited to say Susannah was on the cover of Gourmet News promoting Tourlami. It’s a great piece about the incredible work she is doing to build her plant-based ingredients brand. I’m endlessly proud.
3/ Have you heard of enshittification? H/t to Meg for this interesting read.
One last thing…a slight brag. I’m excited to announce a podcast I created and produced won an award from the Anthem Awards, which is pretty exciting. If you want to listen to the show (why not?) here is a link to hear it. It was pretty interesting to work on and I learned a lot about the process of and forward movement of change through the law in America.
Thanks as always for reading and feel free to share this newsletter with anyone you think may find it interesting. You can also now upgrade to a premium subscription and get more recommendations sent over the weekend and other musings and posts.
Have a great Thursday and see you next week.
Go Kramer on the podcast award🎉
