Snowing here in NYC, again.
I’ve been extremely busy editing some video projects this past week, so it’s been hard to escape into other content. But, never fret, I still have the ability to get distracted! Here are some of those distractions, that are totally worth your time…
1/ This conversation between Ezra Klein and Heather McGhee is excellent. McGhee’s work explores the broader costs to all Americans when we accept racism and live within a racist system. She really breaks it down in a startling way. Let’s just say there’s a lot of people cutting-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face talk. It’s a good listen.
2/ This essay on removing oneself from instagram during 2020 is pretty solid. I would love a group logging off, if possible. But I think it’ll remain a pipe dream for now.
3/ Last night I watched Sandra Bland Say Her Name, a documentary on HBO. It was a pretty powerful film and I definitely recommend it if you want a fuller picture of how her life ended. It’s hard to believe she died in the summer 2015, over 5 years ago.
On a personal note, I released a motion graphics reel this week that you might want to watch or share. Check it here.
Till next week!
