Hello hello. I’m writing this to you from Hilton Head Island.

Here to see Lean Ensemble’s production of Fun Home. It’s incredible how much my mom’s theater company has grown over the years. I’m so proud of her for doing such amazing work, spreading art and empathy to the audiences of the Lowcountry. She’s making a real impact.

Let’s jump into this week’s recs:

2/ Would you stay here?

At check-in, guests receive a hard hat, head lamp, boots and a mountain guide. The journey — about 1,400 feet underground to the world's deepest hotel in the north Wales region of Snowdonia — takes nerve.

3/ I did not know Beth Ditto was a fan of eating squirrels. But, I do love Gossip and am glad to hear they’re back with more music. Their new album, Real Power, drops tomorrow! If the song Real Power is an indicator of quality, the album is going to be great.
