Hello hello. I’m alive! I was sidelined for three days with a brutal bug of some kind. Being sick is…the worst. But, I’m back! I feel I’m maybe operating at about 60% or so, which is, frankly, fantastic. I hope you’re all feeling healthy and happy.
While I didn’t consume much this week - I mostly slept and threw up - I did save a few good reads from the weekend that I’ll happily share now.
1/ Good advice for writers (or I guess anyone on the grind, creating).
Actually I am mostly dealing with this moment by doing exactly the amount of work I need to do every day, and no more than that. Not lingering in the tough stuff, but showing up and addressing it and then getting the fuck out and taking a walk or something.
2/ Old pics of subways! So much dirt in sepia tones. I love it.
3/ I thought this was a super interesting piece on long covid, love, and compromise. Written in response to the NPR piece about guilt and frustrating over partners with long covid, this one really goes the other way. I’m not sure where to land, but I find it all really interesting to discuss.
That’s all for this week! Hopefully, I’ll have more time to explore the internet now that I’m amongst the living again.
Have a great Thursday.
Hope you're feeling better!
