Morning! Quick note for the premos - sorry the links were off, something happened in between the pasting and the posting. I’ll do a better job of reviewing before sending off in the future. Want to reiterate how much it means to me to have you read or click or at least entertain this little project. Thank you for the support!
Ok, now the Tuesday post. When I added on Tuesday posting it was not without the understand that most of us want less in our inboxes. So, I stick with a specific theme and if you don’t care for it you can swiftly delete and clear, and if you do find yourself interested, hopefully it itches the same parts of you as it does for me.
Today’s theme is Frank Lloyd Wright. I’ve loved Frank Lloyd Wright’s work since I was maybe 6 or 7 and I got my own builder kit and book. I love how he integrated his work into nature. I love how he understood patterns and shapes. Anyway, here are a few more links if you want to learn or see more of his work:
1/ One thing about Frank Lloyd Wright that is clear, is he loved space. He loved big open spaces. Translation: he did not like cities. “Hated” may be the appropriate word.
“To look at the plan of a great City is to look at something like the cross-section of a fibrous tumor.”
That said, he still contributed to our fair city with one of its’ most beautiful buildings. On the Guggenheim (use 12ft.io to break the paywall).
2/ Inside the Woodland Utopia.
3/ See his full collection here. Through the Frank Lloyd Right Trust, you can explore copious resources to better understand America’s greatest architect. I loved the Japan photographs because it was a peak into how he was inspired. Gotta start somewhere!
And with that, have a wonderful Tuesday.
