Hello hello. Sending this from the airport as Susannah and I head to SFO then Yosemite for a wedding. I’m excited to explore Yosemite again. The last time I went I think I was ten. And if I recall correctly, which I’m sure I don’t, I spent most of the time staring at a booklet of postcards my parents got me that featured different bears from the park. If you know me, you know I love bears.
Enough about that. Let’s get into the recommendations for this week…
1/ I found this essay thought provoking. It’s on #MeToo and its representation through different art. It uses the theatrical drama Prima Face, as well as the films She Said and Women Talking to further emphasize the importance of a shift toward collective listening and how we approach sexual assault and violence against women.
Listening requires that we suspend doubt while listening. It also encourages us to imagine a future in which accountability leads to restorative justice and healing.
2/ An interesting list of all the ways Americans are using ChatGPT / AI. #24 is wild!!!
3/ I love this series and have definitely posted from it before. For some reason I especially liked this small apartment’s episode. It felt both chic and lived in. Tranquil yet full. And wow, so many shoes!
That’s it for this week. Thanks as always for reading and sharing. If you like this and want more, please consider upgrading to get additional newsletters throughout the week.
