Happy Thursday readers. It’s another busy week so this will be a relatively quick post. Today’s recs:
1/ I enjoyed this piece from Deborah Copaken on the majestic Nora Ephron. It’s touching to think of Nora Ephron as a mother to many - as that type of presence. Big shoes to fill.
Nora speaks her mind the way others breathe: an involuntary reflex, not a choice.
Fun side note, the illustrations associated with the post are by Liana Finck. I loved her book and would definitely recommend her interview on the Longform podcast.
2/ I finally read Matt Taibbi’s piece on White Fragility and it’s a doozy. Worth a read. I love Taibbi’s writing.
3/ Lastly, can’t wait to watch this film. Like, immediately.
That’s it for this week. Stay cool and have a great weekend.
