The 33 Project

Hello hello. Hope you had a pleasant July 4th holiday. We had the good fortune of catching the fire works from a friends balcony with an incredible view.

While we worked all day, it was great to spend some time with friends and remember that it’s summer and we live in a free society.

Anyway, how’s your week going? We’ve been pretty swamped with Tourlami updates this week - Susannah’s been baking, we’ve been dropping off samples and making deliveries and filming and editing video content up the wazoo. We’ll be sharing videos starting in August and I’m really excited to get them out into the world. Whenever I can boost Susannah’s incredible work, I will and let me say…what she’s doing really is incredible. More updates to come!

Enough about us. Let’s get into the recommendations for this week:

1/ This feels like a different world entirely.

2/ I just read Gloria, a play by Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins and it was excellent. Read and support more plays! Reading plays is really fun.

3/ This article, on former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and is now separated wife Chirlane McCray, was insane. Thanks Monica for sharing.

Ms. McCray, who had identified as a lesbian and seemed cool to his overtures, relented eventually.
