I’m switching things up here, self. Instead of daily posts, I want to do weekly posts - every Thursday. ish. I’m just turning into a quality over quantity type of person. It started to feel like meeting a daily deadline meant less interest in the quality of the content. Not cool, right? So here’s the deal. Moving forward, I’ll do my weekly check in, my commentary, and then stick with my three recos. It’s still Project 33. It’s still all about curating for and cultivating a more curious lifestyle.
On to this week’s recos:
1/ Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, there’s been a lot of new information about viruses and what a virus is exactly. I, frankly, knew little to nothing. That is, until I listened the The Economist’s Babbage podcast and learned so much!! I found these interviews and the take-aways to be fascinating. Nothing is all bad or all good. We know this. Also, while there’s so much that is unknown, scientists are working toward goals, toward understanding and building the knowledge base to protect and prosper. It’s fascinating, horrifying, and in its own way comforting to be learning all of this information.
2/ I’m a sucker for reading about artists routines. I’ve read books about it, read articles and listened to many podcasts. Of course there is no one formula, but it’s fun to play around in that space. Brain Pickings had a great post a while back (2013 I think) on this very topic. In fact, she and a few collaborators decided to visualize a data set they’d compiled on famous writers and their sleep habits and schedules. It’s so cool!
3/ Finally, these ten countries are offering full on citizenship when you buy property on their land. Something to keep in mind as the election nears…
Ok, that’s all for this week!
