Hello from the airport heading to Amsterdam!
Finally, over a year later, I’m en route to celebrate both my birthday and gay pride. What a duo! I am thrilled to be heading to one of my favorite cities to spend time with some of my favorite people.
Going to jump into the recs so that I can get to my vacation. Duh.
1/ Still reeling from the overturning of Roe v. Wade? Here’s some good, practical advice from Matthew Yglesias. Within this post he mentions: On Offense: Abortion, which is a super interesting new podcast hosted by Marcela Mulholland and McKenzie Wilson from Data for Progress. Their charge with this podcast is to “transform polling insights into winning messaging for progressives.” So far, I’m enjoying it.

It hurts to think of the way past generations of gay Americans were treated. Fuck the johns committee.
3/ Finally, on memory. I learned that memory is critical for creativity and our every day lives. In some cases, memory lapses are simply just a lack of attention, not memory issues. So…pay attention more! Also, apparently frequent cooking is good for memory - so Susannah’s gonna have a strong memory.
Alright, that’s it for this week. Thanks for following and be sure to share this newsletter with anyone you think may find it interesting.
