Hello hello.
Last night I had the great pleasure of seeing Kylie Minogue in concert at MSG. It was the perfect collection of joyous pop songs and a total antidote to all the active misery of current times. She’s a real one and it was a total blast. 37 years strong. Even the NY Post called it “a nonstop lovefest”.
Onto the recs for this weekend:
1/ You can now take courses in straight studies! A new section at UCSB dedicated to understanding heterosexuality. Use 12ft.io to get around the paywall.
“I feel like this class will answer a lot of, like, Why are they like that?” a student named Anthony told the group. He’s a global-studies major and identifies as gay.
I’m all for questioning these norms!! Why is heterosexuality “…the wallpaper against which other exhibits are hung.”
2/ This is very cool! Tomoko Kubo is Embroidering the Entire Hiragana Lettering System.
