It’s a beautiful, calm Sunday morning in NYC. Yesterday, I had the good fortune of attending an early reading for a new work by the very talented Leigh Fondakowski. It was a show she’s been developing for over a decade about the legendary, 19th century actress Charlotte Cushman. Readings are often hit or miss, but this one felt inspiring and exciting. One thing I’ve learned about the theatre community is more often than not the room is filled with talent, intellect and compassion.
